Developed coasts change natural beach processes, and we have all seen that once beach development begins – more follows. Every building alters the dune ecosystem.

Unfortunately, almost all of Florida’s beaches are disappearing due to development significantly reducing the diversity and abundance of wildlife species that depend on beach habitats.

The impacts of decades of coastal development and pollution are endangering Florida’s marine ecosystems. We need to preserve what is left of nature for future generations, and respect the habitat of other organisms who lived here first.

Voice your opinion about destruction to our greatest asset, the beach. These City Officials have the final say in beach development.
